The headstone is broken into sections, has a missing piece, and two of the sections are lying on the ground, inscription side up, towards the footstone. Based on the inscription on Sewell P. Bowden's headstone, Abagail is the wife of Samuel Bowden. [headstone] ABIGAIL / Wife of / [missing] / DIED / Oct. 7, 1886. / Æ. 72 yrs. 10 mos. / In life she exhibited all the graces of a Christian / In death her spirit is returned to God, who [illegible].
